In my version of the ethnic trends, I have combined the elegance of the Baro't Saya which is the Philippine's unofficial national dress and the interesting ornaments of the ethnic group Mandaya.
The Hood in my illustration is the version of the Baro or the Panuelo. It is supposed to be made of Pineapple fiber. It is thin enough to allow the breeze in and thick enough to prevent the heat from peaking through so much. I like the way a very thin cloth moves when a wind blows. Its movement cools the mind.
